I, the above-named participant, or the parent and/or legal guardian of the participant listed above, am at least eighteen years of age and am fully competent to sign this agreement. I have voluntarily chosen to participate or to allow my child to participate in the above-referenced reason for transportation. I acknowledge that the participant’s involvement in this transportation may expose the participant to hazard or risks that may result in illness, personal injury or death and I understand and appreciate the nature of such hazards and risks.

In consideration of my voluntary participation in the transportation, I hereby accept all risk to the participant’s health and of their injury which may result from such participation. I hereby release Alvernia University, its governing board, officers, employees, and representatives from any and all liability to me, my personal representative, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to my property, and for any and all illness or injury to participant, including death, that may result from or occur during participation in the transportation, whether caused by the negligence of Alvernia University, its governing board, officers, employees, or representatives, or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alvernia University and its governing board, officers, employees, and representatives from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from the negligent or intentional acts or omissions of the participant while participating in the described transportation.

I have carefully read this agreement and understand it to be a release of all claims and causes of action for injury to the participant or damage to their property that occurs while participating in the described program and it obligates me to indemnify the parties names for any liability for injury or death to any person and damage to property caused by the participant’s negligent or intentional acts or omissions.

Your standard tour will include a tour of our Main campus and a meeting with the Admissions Office.

Your tour will be approximately 45 minutes
Your admissions meeting will be approximately 20 minutes.

In addition to our standard campus tour, we will be including a tour of our John R. Post Center at the Reading CollegeTowne building.
The John R. Post Center at Reading CollegeTowne is Alvernia’s new downtown Reading facility. The dynamic extension of main campus showcases Alvernia’s student-centric approach to learning. The five-story complex brings hundreds students, faculty and staff to downtown Reading every day, nurturing economic development in the City and bringing a thriving new energy to the Penn Street corridor.

Houses Business, Communication, Engineering, Digital Media Marketing, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Associate departments.
(This will add 60 minutes to your standard tour)

In addition to our regular campus tour, we will include a tour of the Thomas and Helen Flynn Complex (PLEX) building.
The facility's academic spaces are designed to promote shared learning and integrative practices across a broad spectrum of health care and human service fields. The approach helps students develop expertise within their disciplines while enhancing understanding of other areas for integrated patient care. This expansion is the largest, most ambitious in university history, adding more than 100,000 square feet of academic and recreation space and 15 acres to Alvernia’s campus.
